Anne’s House of Dreams
About the Book

First published in 1917 by McClelland and Stewart
Anne’s House of Dreams was originally written to follow Anne of the Island. (The fourth book,Anne of Windy Polars was written years afterwards.) The story begins with Anne’s marriage and move to the beautiful shore of Four Winds. The first two years of her new life is enriched by the friendship of Captain Jim, a retired sea-captain and charmed storyteller, spinster Miss Cornelia, an avowed “man-hater” indefatiguable with spicy gossip and acts of kindness, and Leslie Moore, a beautiful and tragic woman of Anne’s own age.
Anne’s House of Dreams is the fifth book in the series of Anne novels and short stories.
